Customer Financial Privacy Notice

The Exchange Bank has a long history of safeguarding our customers’ private financial information. We are committed to upholding that tradition. We want you to understand what information we collect and how we use it. Our guidelines do protect the privacy of our customers and also help to protect against fraud while serving customer needs for new, better and less costly financial products and services. The following serves as a standard for all Exchange Bank employees for collection, use, retention, and security of nonpublic personal information.

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law such as IRS inquiries or court order, and only those persons or entities that you instruct us to disclose information to.

If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will adhere to the privacy policy and practices as services in the notice.

Confidentiality and Security

We restrict access to your personal and account information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.

*Nonpublic personal information applies only to personal, family or household purposes.  This privacy policy does not apply to companies or about individuals who obtain financial products or services for business, commercial or agricultural purposes.

Definitions

We will use certain terms in this notice that are defined as the following:

We, our and us.  This will always mean the Exchange Bank.

You and Your.  This means our customers with whom we have a continuing relationship through one or more accounts, and also consumers who may use a service we provide (such as an ATM) without any real account relationship or someone who may have applied for a loan but was declined.

Nonpublic personal information.  Personally identifiable financial information that is not available from public sources.
